Pipe Creek & Lakehills news
By Vicki L. George

Greetings to my neighbors in Lakehills and Pipe Creek!
Lord willing, and with your help, I will be writing this column. I have lived between the two communities for 32 years and I have a heart for what goes on here. I want to cover your news and your special and upcoming events, to keep everyone informed of all that is going on around us.
If I have not contacted you yet, I invite you to contact me with your news. I check email twice a day so that will always get a speedy response.
You can also call me. With so many spam calls, I do not answer an unknown number without a name. However, if you leave a message, I will get it and answer you.
The Arthur Nagel Community Clinic opened a satellite clinic in Lakehills on Monday, May 20, in the Lakehills Civic Center, located at 11225 PR 37 in Lakehills. For more information, call 830-796-3448 or go to nagelclinic.org.
I once sat on the community clinic board of directors. I know they provide a wonderful, and much needed, service to those who qualify.
The American Legion Post 410, of Lakehills, announced that on Saturday, June 8, more than 450 Aspen Dental offices will open their doors to veterans and provide dental care at no cost. Veterans can call 844-277-3646 to find a participating Aspen Dental nearby and schedule an appointment, which is required. Dental treatments will include cleanings, exams, and pain relief.
I just heard from the Pipe Creek Christian School. They are now enrolling for their Pre-K Round Up, for kiddos ages 3-4. Call the school at 830-510-6131 or go to pipecreekchristianschool.org for more information.
The Christian school is also pleased to announce the winners in their Science Fair. Every year the youngsters in grades six through 12 compete in engineering and experimental categories.
First place went to Anthony Cortez with his project, “Motorless Motors.” Second place went to Izaiah Shortt for his project, “Why so Antsy? It’s Only Sugar.” Alisia Callahan, with “Rubber Egg Mystery” received third place.
Please send your Lakehills and Pipe Creek news to me by email at vicki.george329@hotmail.com or call me at 210-563-1186 and leave a message. I look forward to hearing from you.
Until next time, “Vaya con Dios!”
