The Sage Stage

News from The Silver Sage Corral

By Amy Dee Hawley

Bandera Boy Scout Troop and Venture Crew 447 spent their time one evening last week picking up food donations from local residents and delivering those items to the Silver Sage.
Troop leaders Eric and Teri Morgan and Robert and Julie Swalve, along a group of nice boys and girls, brought the sacks to the center. Items in the sacks will be used to assist seniors in need in Bandera County. Both the Scouting program and Venturing are Boy Scouts of America programs and participate in service projects. Silver Sage greatly appreciates their help and generosity.

An AARP Smart Driver Course will be held at Silver Sage on Thursday, June 13, from noon to 4 p.m. This course is designed and available to seniors in the City of Bandera and surrounding areas. Refresh your driving skills and knowledge of the rules of the road.
Learn techniques for handling left turns, right-of-way and roundabouts. Also discover proven driving methods to help keep you and your loved ones safe on the road. It does not fulfill requirements for court ordered Defensive Driving. Cost for the course is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.
Upon completion, participants may be eligible to receive an auto insurance discount. Please contact your insurance representative for verification.
To sign up, please call Silver Sage at 830-796-4969. For more information, call Randy Williams at 830-249-8130.
