The Sage Stage

News from The Silver Sage

By Amy Dee Hawley

The 35th Birthday Celebration Open House and Reception will be held on Saturday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Take a tour of the facility, enjoy the sprucing up that has been going on for the past few weeks, find out about present activities and those that are planned in the future, and learn why Silver Sage is so special! Make plans to attend this very special happening!
One of the activities offered at Silver Sage is Bridge.  At this time, there is a need for Bridge players. Beginners to seasoned players are welcome to come on Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. and join the group. Meet new people, polish up on your game, and enjoy the cool, calm surroundings at the center.
The time is almost here for the Silver Ticket drawing. This year, there will be two lucky people who will win $2,500 worth of gift certificates from participating Bandera County merchants. Tickets are $20 each, there is no limit on how many tickets may be purchased, and the 4th of July drawing will be live on Facebook.  Rules and a list of participating merchants may be found on the Silver Sage website, www.SilverSageCorral.org. Tickets can be purchased online, at the Silver Sage office, from board members or from Art Crawford. Proceeds from the sale of the Silver Tickets benefit the Small House Project. Information about this very exciting project may also be found on the website. Silver Sage’s mission is to enrich life for seniors in Bandera County.
