Elderly man killed in tractor accident
By Jessica Goode
The Bandera Prophet
An elderly man was killed on Wednesday after he was trapped underneath his tractor.
Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King said the 80-year-old was mowing his property in the 400 block of Horseshoe Bend off Hwy. 16 at Camp Bandina. King said the man’s son was mowing in the area when he noticed the tractor, an older model, was not moving.
“When he approached, [his son] found him under the tractor,” King said. “It looked like the tractor may have rolled up on him as he was getting off, and he got caught under the shredder.”
King said the man was unresponsive when EMS arrived.
