The Bandera Prophet
MIke Garr enjoyed his last days as the Bandera Library director this week. As he looks toward his future, Mauri Fagan, who has served as assistant librarian since 2018, will pick up the torch.
Garr began his tenure at the Bandera Library in 2008, as a volunteer. Stepping back into that role, he will launch his year-long and life-long dream as a resident volunteer at various National Parks, beginning with Big Bend in West Texas. Look for his column, "From the Field" in the near future.
He has moved into Director Emeritus status, and will return as a volunteer to the Bandera Library at the conclusion of his assignments.
