Wild Game Dinner feeds the masses
Organizers are still putting together the final numbers, but more than 330 plates were served during the annual Wild Game Dinner, hosted by Grace Lutheran Church of Bandera on Saturday.
Guests feasted on entrees that included fried axis, whitetail, fallow and zebra, bear and sika chili, quail, duck gumbo, elk bites, nachos with oryz taco meat, black Hawaiian sheep meatballs, spaghetti with venison meat sauce and hog sliders, hog pozole and barbecued wild hog.
The 33rd annual event also included a silent auction and raffle prizes. A portion of the proceeds will go toward two scholarships for Bandera County high school seniors.
