Lady Bulldog Track has strong showing at home meet

Bandera Track held their only home meet of the 2020 season at Bulldog Stadium on Thursday with three Lady Bulldog teams competing.
The two varsity Lady Bulldog teams, Bandera Blue in third and Bandera White, finishing in seventh, were chasing the top two teams from Devine and Fredericksburg.
Bandera had strong finishes in the longer runs, the 800 meter, the 1600 and the 3200, which helped the team totals.
The JV Lady Bulldogs won team bronze behind the two strong squads fielded by Antonian and Fredericksburg.
Good showings in the Discus, Long Jump and Pole Vault, along with decent finishes in the relays, show promise for the future of Lady Bulldog track as these athletes transition to varsity competition.
"A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help out at both the high school and middle school meets last week.
Both were a success because of a team effort to pull them off," coach Brooke Ashcraft said.
Bandera Track will head to Comfort on Thursday for the Bobcat and Running Deer Invitational.
