The Native Plant Society’s spring meetings will feature Marilyn Knight in a two-part series: ‘Tiny Flowers of Texas’ and ‘Spring Wild Flowers’
On Tuesday, March 10, at the Riverside Nature Center, the Kerrville Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas is excited to welcome Marilyn Knight to its monthly meeting. She will present the first of a two-part series about the flowers of Texas, including lots of flower pictures to aid in identification of the flowers.
In the first of the series, Marilyn will present the “Tiny Flowers of Texas.” The second part of the series will be Tuesday, April 14, also at Riverside Nature Center, and is titled “Spring Wild Flowers.”
This series is coming at a wonderful time of year when we can see and identify many of these native flowers in our own yards and fields.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments and socializing will be from 1 - 1:30 p.m., with the meeting starting at 1:30 p.m.
The purpose of the Native Plant Society of Texas is to promote conservation, research and utilization of native plants in Texas through education, outreach and example.
