The fifth ranked Bandera Lady Bulldogs varsity team took another first place on Saturday, this time in their second home meet of the season at Bandera City Park.
Bandera took team gold with 22 points led by Morgan Cole, Hannah Edwards and Raelynn Butler to easily outdistance Pleasanton and Fredericksburg with 74 and 89 points respectively. Gonzales, Lytle, Uvalde and Hondo also ran in the event.
Bandera took five of the first seven spots and their sixth and seventh runners finished in 11th and 12th in the 53 runner field.
Fredericksburg's Taylor Grona took first and Lytle's Marrisa Lopez took fifth to keep the Lady Bulldogs from getting the perfect score of 15.

JV
The JV Lady Bulldogs took team bronze with a third place finish behind Pleasanton and Fredericksburg in Saturday's Bandera Bulldog Invitational.
Ashley Grodman, Madison Gillaspie and Carlye Niccum were Bandera's top three finishers in fifth, sixth and seventh place with Lydia Devigny and Emily Garcia also scoring points for Bandera.

Varsity

The varsity boys secured a strong second place, sandwiched between Fredericksburg  and Lytle, on the strength of all their  runners in the top half of the field and their five points scorers finishing in the top 18.
Logan Dybowski and Ethan Brown led the way with Braden Cox, Josh Short and Jacob Hass scoring points. Sam Nimmrichter and Mariano Casas also ran for the Bulldogs and along with another competitor from Gonzales, finished in an almost dead heat for 20th - 22nd place, separated by just .6 of a second.

JV
With only two teams running, it was a shootout between Fredericksburg and Bandera and when the dust had settled, Bandera was second on this day. Fredericksburg scored a perfect 15 with all points scorers in the top five spots and the Bulldogs had four runners in the next five places.
Reese Mazurek paced the Bulldogs in sixth place with Mack Robinson and Sage Youngman-Wiltse in seventh and eighth respectively.
Trent Johnson and Ben Adamietz scored points and Miles McGroty and Kyle Moore also competed for Bandera.

Freshman Football
The freshman Bulldogs hit the road to Crystal City last Thursday and scored early in the game on a 24-yard rush by Daine Grabs and held on to get a 6-6 tie in both teams first game of district.
Bandera will host Carizzo Springs this coming Thursday evening as they look to get their first win in district and improve that record to 1-0-1.
