The Bandera Prophet

Cross-Country
The Bandera High School cross-country teams will have to wait a few extra hours to find out how they  fare in district competition as the start times have been moved back due to weather conditions predicted for Wednesday morning.
Both of the high school varsity teams are looking to make it to regionals with a strong finish in district.
The event, held at Bandera City Park, will have teams from Boerne, Comal Canyon Lake, Comal Davenport, Fredericksburg, Wimberley and Bandera competing.
The races will start after lunch and the new schedule is:
1 p.m. Varsity Girls,
1:01 p.m. Senior Girls
1:30 p.m. Varsity Boys
1:31 p.m. Senior Boys
2:30 p.m. JV Girls
3 p.m. JV Boys
3:30 p.m. JV Girls and Boys (#2s)
It will be cold and probably windy, but come out and show your support for the Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs in the final event in Bandera this season.
There is no admission fee.

Volleyball
The Lady Bulldog varsity has made the playoffs and is slated to face Navarro in the first round. The match will take place in Boerne, but the location and date is still TBD between Boerne or Champion.
The Lady Panthers finished second in District 27-4A with a 5-3 district mark.
Bandera, the third place team in District 28-4A, finished with a 5-4 district mark.
Ticketing information has not been released at press time.

Freshman Football
Bandera's all freshman team took on the Devine Warhorses JV in Devine on Thursday and got shutout in a 48-0 decision to Devine.
The loss moves the team's record to 0-1-2 on the season with a road game against the Hondo Owls slated for this Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m.
Coaches noted that Cale Barnett, Alex Dirck, Daine Grabs, Jacob Lannon, David Padgett and Erik Straeter played well in the loss.
