Christmas Under The Stars tomorrow night
Christmas is full of wonderful traditions, many of which will be shared on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 5-8 p.m. Join a free Community Christmas Party Under the Stars, at the Lakehills Civic Center, 11225 Park Road 37, Lakehills, TX 78063.
Christmas music, hot coco, cider, cookies and candy canes, lights, decorations, Christmas gifts for ages 12 and under, a visit from Santa for some safely distanced photos (bring your own camera)… all of this is only a part of this year’s party. In addition, churches, families and businesses from Lakehills, Pipe Creek, Mico and Bandera have joined together to provide a “Walk Through Bethlehem” experience.
Costumed participants will give a peek into this memorable first century village. Wise men and their camel (take a picture with a live camel) are settled into their campsite on the way to Bethlehem. Pick up your coins to pay the tax collector as you come into town. Visit the Wood Shop, Food Market, Metal Shop, and more.
Take a look at the busy Inn as you make your way to the stable to see the real animals and live nativity representing the birth of Jesus Christ. Find special treats to take home all through Bethlehem as you enjoy the sights and sounds.
Provisions have been made for a safe evening with regards to the current pandemic issues. This event has been approved by Bandera County Judge Evans based on following now standard guidelines. Please wear masks. Temperatures will be checked at the entry. All refreshments are handled in compliance with Covid safety guidelines.
There is plenty of space and fresh air so it should be easy to keep safe distances from those outside your household. Say hi to a neighbor, meet someone new, share an evening with your family and friends or come by yourself and enjoy. Don’t forget to bring a warm jacket. The evening might be a bit chilly, but that’s part of the fun. After all, It's Christmas Time in Texas!
