Happy New Year!

The Bandera Prophet
For the 17th year and counting, my family and I share with you our New Year welcoming. Since 2003, after a friend and fellow photographer challenged me to capture the coming year in lights, we have illuminated the annual transition with sparklers.
There weren't quite as many bloopers this year as in years before, which meant we spent less time bouncing up and down between lightings trying to keep our slippered toes warm. No matter how wet and icy the driveway was, nor how odd this year has been, I remain grateful for the opportunity to carry on this tradition together.
