Bandera took to the road to take on Comal Davenport last Tuesday, and handed their hosts a 43-30 loss in the third game of the first round of District 28-4A play.
Breanna Stimmell and Madison Leal led the offensive charge in the first quarter as both scored six points in the first quarter and Bandera realized a comfortable 24-14 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, Bandera gave up 12 points to the Lady Wolves, but Stimmell, Hannah Edwards, Samantha Kennedy and Liz MacNeil combined for 13 points in the quarter, to extend Bandera's lead to 11 points to begin the fourth.
Bandera held Davenport to four points in the final stanza while continuing to score to secure the win.
Canyon Lake
A rather small home crowd was on hand to see the Lady Bulldogs take a 46-22 win over the Lady Hawks on Senior Night.
Bandera was in charge on both ends of the floor as they bolted to an 11-1 lead against a Canyon Lake squad playing with five on the floor and just one sub.
Bandera’s Breanna Stimmell had 12 points for the half and Katie Dibrell scored 6 while Bandera would only give up seven in the second quarter, extending their lead to 25-8 at halftime.
Six Lady Bulldogs added to the scoring in the second half with Dibrell scoring five points, Abigail Danour and Izabell Kennedy adding four each, Summer Haby and Madison Leal contributed three each and Stimmell had another two as Bandera extended their win streak to two in a row.

The Lady Bulldogs, currently fourth place in district, are now .666 at 12-6 (2-2) on the season as they ready themselves for 18-1 Fredericksburg, currently the ranked number two team in 4A, on the road tonight to close out the first round of district play. Things don’t get any easier later in the week as Bandera will host 15th ranked, 14-3, Boerne on Friday night to start the district’s second round.
