LAKEHILLS CIVIC CENTER will host the Last Saturday Market, held the last Saturday of each month in the center, 11225 PR 37 in Lakehills. The first market will be held March 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is room for more vendors and you can find the fees and applications online at lakehillssaturdaymarket.com. If someone wants to be a vendor, and feels they cannot afford the booth fee, owner Jeremy Salois will work with you to make it affordable. Call 254-979-1073 for more information.

PIPE CREEK DANCEHALL will host their first ever Market Days on Saturday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be an open-air event with live music by David Lee. Located at the Pipe Creek General Store and Dance Hall, 9878 Hwy. 16 South, in Pipe Creek, attendees can tour the restored facilities, enjoy barbecue, burgers and nachos from the vendors, as well as visiting arts and crafts booths. PIPE CREEK CHRISTIAN SCHOOL will hold its annual Fundraiser Drive-thru Dinner on Friday, April 23, from 5 - 7 p.m., at the school, 1990 FM 1283. For $10 a plate, the meal will include beef lasagna, salad, garlic bread, drink and dessert. Tickets are available now at the New Life Resale Shop next door to the school and all proceeds will benefit the school.

MICO VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT will hold its 57th annual BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, May 8, at the station, 7121 CR 271, in Mico. The event includes a live auction with a water truck, a silent auction, a bounce house and obstacle course for the kiddos. Raffle tickets are on sale now at the fire station on Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5, and you do not have to be present to win.

PIPE CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 8589 Hwy. 16 S, hosts the Little Rock Cafe every Wednesday evening, following the school schedule, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  Each week the meal varies and always includes drink and dessert. Donations are $7 for adults and $3 for children. Call 830-510-6650 for more information.

LAKEHILLS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH offers Bread of Life, their free community meal, every Monday, following the school schedule, beginning at 5 p.m. Located at 150 Ave. J in Lakehills, the menu varies, serving 180 to 200 meals every week. Donations are gratefully accepted. Call 830-751-2404 for more information.

AMERICAN LEGION POST 410, 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, is open to the public, from 3 p.m., Fridays through Wednesdays. They serve meals every Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. Each week offers a different dish, with sides and beverage for $8 a plate. Desserts are available for a small amount and diners may eat in or take out. For more information, call the post’s new number: 830-612-1034.

LAKE AND RIVER
On March 22, Medina Lake is at 38.0 per cent capacity. The lake level is 1029.36 feet, which is down 34.84 feet.
The Medina River has a flow of 10.1 cfs in Bandera, standing 3.35 feet deep at the gage.
