Golf
Bulldog freshman Jesse Cardenas finished 22nd in a field of 95 golfers at the Region IV 4A Golf Championships in Victoria.
Golfers faced lower than usual temperatures and gusty winds Wednesday and Thursday on the 6,413 yard Colony Creek course and it showed.
Cardenas shot an out of the norm, 91 on Wednesday, and improved to an 86 on Thursday.
The 4A Boys Golf State tournament will be held at Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle on May 17-18.

Rodeo
Ridin' the River Cowboy Fellowship will usher in the local rodeo season this weekend with the 10th Annual Buck Wild Rodeo at Bandera’s Mansfield Park on Saturday, April 24.
Gates open at 6 p.m., event starts at 7:30 p.m. and features Bull Riding, Mini Bulls and Mutton Busting.
You will want to get there early to register if you have children participating in the Mutton Busting as the field fills up fast.
