Bandera High School received three additional new scoreboards last week, this time in the main gym and on Bulldog Field.
The two scoreboards in the main gym, the main on the south wall and the auxilliary on the north wall, were made possible by Bandera Bank.
The Bulldog Field scoreboard was a joint effort by four local businesses: Buddys Water Well and Septic Service; Propane Depot; Frontier Family Dentistry; and Bandera Auto and Truck Supply, your local NAPA distributor.
These, along with the previously installed scoreboard at Lady Bulldog Field, will soon be joined by the new and much anticipated scoreboard coming to Bulldog Stadium, thanks to Hondo National Bank and Warriors Heart.
Plans are to move the new scoreboard to the south end of the stadium and offset it from behind the goalposts, a good move as the current scoreboard has been hit uncountable times on extra point and field goal attempts as well as soccer kicks.
The change will also free up space in the cramped infield and make for better sight lines for those at the concession stand.
The tentative timeline for the installation of the last scoreboard is six to eight weeks.
