Empty kayak appears unmanned, carried away by flood waters

Emergency personnel investigated an empty kayak trapped in the current at the dam at Bandera City Park Sunday morning. After a thorough search by Bandera Fire and Rescue and Sheriff’s Office deputies, authorities do not believe a person fell out of the kayak, Chief Deputy Matt King said.
“It appears to be just an empty kayak,” King said, adding no missing person has been reported.
King said it’s possible that the heavy waters carried it from the river bank. No one has claimed it yet.
