BMS
Sports report

Cross-Country
Saturday saw the Bandera Middle School cross country teams traveled to San Antonio to compete in the FEAST Cross Country Invitational.
In each of the two races, there were over 300 middle school runners on the starting line.
The BMS seventh and eighth grade combined girls team finished midpack, finishing tenth out of 20 teams.
The seventh grade girls carried the load for the Lady Dogs, led by Merry Robinson, Sydney Moore, Bailey Haas, and Kyra Blake.
The boys also ran as a combined unit, but were missing some runners, so were not able to compete as a team. On a high note, 15 Bulldogs recorded a personal best time.
All BMS teams will run at home this Saturday at Bandera City Park.

Volleyball
All four of the BMS volleyball teams got a win against Blanco on Monday, Aug. 30
The seventh grade Lady Bulldog "B" team earned their first win of the season as they defeated Blanco in two close sets, 25-20 and 25-21.
Strong serving from Ciana Salinas and Milesia Casas helped the Bulldogs edge out the Panthers.
The seventh grade Lady Bulldog "A" team remained undefeated when they made quick work of Blanco in two sets, 25-11 and 25-14. Again, Bandera’s serving was their strength, but they also backed it up with aggressive defensive play.
The eighth grade "B" Team beat the Blanco Panthers as the Bandera girls came ready to play.
Bandera won lots of points on serves, led by Josilynn Picconi.
The eighth grade" A" team carved out a victory against Blanco in two nail biting games.
Bandera won the first set 25-23 with Tatum Moeller scoring 10 points. In the second game, Mary Freeman scored six points, Lexis Moore scored eight and Cayleigh Thaler brought home the win, serving the final two points to win, 27-25.
The girls did well with serves and demonstrated good play action, particularly in the second game, to win the match.
