The Bandera Economic Development Corporation sadly accepted the resignation of Administrative Assistant Karina Cabrera last week. Stating her academic requirements were beginning to conflict with BEDC deadlines, Cabrera said she had to make the difficult decision to resign.
“At this time, I have to prioritize my education,” Cabrera said.
The law school student said she would remain on staff to help with the transition, but she requested the board look for her replacement as soon as possible.
“It will be a shame to see you go, but I’m glad for the reasons you have to,” Board President Jerad Wilcox said.
In other business, the deadline to make the November review of economic development incentives is Oct. 15. BEDC members will discuss applications during their regular meeting in November, thus far, one application has been received. More information is available on the city website, and at www.banderaprophet.com/public-notices.html
