Bandera has taken two road trips in the past two weeks, visiting Lago Vista on Sept. 20 and then to Comfort on Sept. 27.

Lago Vista
Seventh grade
The “B” team worked well together to defeat Lago Vista in three sets. The first set was a close 25-23, the second (a loss) was 25-18 and Bandera took the third set, 15-8 for the win.
Delilah Schmitt and McKenzie Mercier were great additions to the team with their serving.
The “A” team lost 2-0 by scores of 25-21 and 25-15. Pivotal passes came from Libero Preslee Greenley and Kyra Blake and were greatly beneficial to breaking Lago Vista’s serves. Samantha Sardo and Jessie Battle showed great hustle on the court.

Eighth grade
The “B” played a tremendous two sets to beat Lago Vista. The first set ended with a 25-14 Bulldogs win. In the second set, Bandera was down 15 to 1, but kept their head in the game, passing the ball well on defensive plays which led the 25-21 comeback win.  Payton Muguia and Lexis Moore were instrumental in the win, the team’s fifth of the season. The “A” team also won in two sets, 25-17 and 25-15. In the first set, the teams were tied at 9-9, then the Lady Bulldogs pulled away.
In the second set, Mary Freeman scored six consecutive points putting Bandera into a comfortable lead.
Overall, the team worked together utilizing free balls, earning side outs and scoring for the win. Their record is now 4-1 on the season.

Comfort
Seventh grade
The “B” team started the night in Comfort with a win in the first set, 25-17. Serving from Delilah Schmidt and passing from Chloe Dickinson shone throughout the night.
Unfortunately, the team lost the next two sets 25-22, and 15-9.
The “A” team utilized their team work that led to a win in Comfort! Scores were 25-16 and 25-21, respectively. Pivotal plays were influenced by many who stepped up when help was needed including Sydney Moore, Kyra Blake, and Lilyann Cox.

Eighth grade
The “B” team win again, 25-21 in the first set and 25-17 for the second. They worked on hard on breaking serves and staying focused.
The “A” team’s serves proved to be too much for the Comfort Deer with Bandera taking both sets, 25-23 and 25-19. Strong consecutive serves in the second set by Co-captain Mary Freeman helped put the Lady Bulldogs into the lead, and the team worked together to maintain the lead for the win.
