Fundraiser planned for local family
By Jessica Nohealapa’ahi

On the night of Nov. 4, J.M. and Mary Clements escaped a house fire that destroyed part of their home. Though the fire was brought under control and extinguished the following morning, the roof, ceiling, floor and kitchen have to be replaced.
It was determined the cause of the fire was a space heater, and the Clements - who own the Bandera Gun Club - do not have homeowners insurance.
A fundraiser to help with their expenses has been planned for Saturday, Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the 11th Street Bar. Barbecue plates will be sold, and there will be a silent auction and live music by Rebel Roxie.
