The Latest at the Lakehills Area Library

The date of the Lakehills Area Library Fundraiser Dinner and Auction has been changed. The fundraiser is now on Saturday, April 2, at the Lakehills Civic Center on PR 37. Dinner will be Jerry's Famous spaghetti, bread, salad and tea or water for $10. There will be a silent auction from 4:30-6 p.m., and the live auction starts at 6:30 p.m. All funds raised will support the library's programs and purchasing of materials for the community to use.
Raffle Tickets are here. Boyle's True Value in Lakehills and Bandera has donated a gift card worth $1,000 for our annual fundraising raffle. $5 each or six for $25. Boyle's offers everything you need from lawn and garden, home repair, guns, local food and gifts, and so much more. Come by the library to get your tickets, drawing will be at our annual fundraiser dinner Saturday, April 2.
If you would like to donate a new item, gift certificate, or service to the library fundraiser for the auction, please contact Dianna at the library, 830-510-2777. We appreciate your support.
Preschool story time will welcome a special guest starting Feb. 9 until March 2. Jessica Faubian from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will join us to teach the kids all about plant life. This limited series of story times will be every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and each session will have a story and a craft or experiment to teach children all about the life cycle of plants. Please join us for this preschool age based program.
A free yoga class with Jessica Brown for all ages is happening every Tuesday and Thursday morning, at 10:30 a.m., in the Lakehills Library Meeting Room. Please bring a mat and water. 
The library book club will be reading All the Light We Cannot See, by Anthony Doerr, this month and will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m., to discuss. Please join us for a chance to talk about books and to expand your reading horizons. 
The Lakehills Area Library is at 7200 FM 1283. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
