LAKEHILLS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 150 Ave. J in Lakehills, has a Wesley Nurse, who will be at the church to give free Covid-19 shots and boosters on Thursday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s a drive-up clinic for those 12 years or more. Call to sign up or get more information at 830-751-2404 or 830-751-2920.
The church offers a free community meal, Bread of Life, every Monday on school days, at 5 p.m., currently drive-through.
The TWIGS program for elementary age kiddos is every Monday, after school. For more information, call Kathryn Ivy at 210-748-4890.
The church seeks donations of non-perishable foods and warm clothing and blankets. Donors may just drop the items off at the church.
In addition, the church has begun to offer a Drive-Thru Food Pantry every other Thursday, from 10 a.m., until the food runs out. Call 830-751-2404 for more information.

MEET THE CANDIDATES FOR BANDERA COUNTY OFFICES forum will be held in the Lakehills Community Center, 11225 PR 37, on Sunday, Feb. 6, at 4 p.m. This event is open to members of any political party and is non-partisan. Each candidate will introduce themselves, explain their goals, and answer questions. Sample ballots will be exhibited and the order of speaking will be as the order on the ballot.
Early voting runs from Feb. 14 through Feb. 25, with Election Day on March 1, 2022.

LAKEHILLS COMMUNITY CENTER is hosting a Valentine’s BBQ Chicken Dinner as a drive-through fundraiser. It will be held at the Center, 11225 PR 37, on Sunday, Feb. 13, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each plate is $12, cash or credit, and includes half a barbecued chicken, with potatoes au gratin, Southern green beans, cheese biscuit, and chocolate cake.
The Center feeds those over 55 years the second Wednesday of each month, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and it is free. Senior citizens are invited to enjoy good food and conversation. No sign up; first come first served.

AMERICAN LEGION POST 410, 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, is hosting a Mid-Winter Valentine’s Prime Rib Dinner, in the Legion Hall on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance; $20 for singles; $35 for couples; available at the Legion Hall. The meal is Prime Rib or Chicken Cordon Bleu with garlic roasted red potatoes, green beans almandine, salad, and red velvet cake a la mode. The proceeds will benefit Post 410 and the non-profit organizations it supports in our community. 
In addition, the Legion serves home cooked meals every Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. Each week offers a different dish, with sides and beverage for $8 a plate. Desserts are available and diners may eat in or take out. The funds raised support the Post for the benefit of the community.
The Post is open to the public every day except Thursdays, from 3 p.m. All are welcome.
Monday Night Pool starts at 7 p.m. No tournaments, no brackets, just playing for fun. The public is welcome.

The ARTHUR NAGEL COMMUNITY CLINIC has moved their satellite location to The Western Heritage Cowboy Church, located more centrally at 7146 FM 1283. The Clinic will be available the first and second Mondays of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments should be made by calling the Clinic in Bandera at 830-796-3448.

PIPE CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, the Little Rock Church, 8589 Hwy. 16 S., offers their Little Rock Cafe, every Wednesday on school days, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Meals are $7 for adults, which includes drink and dessert, and $3 for children. LAKE LEVEL
On Jan. 30, Medina Lake is at 25.0 per cent capacity. The lake level is 1016.62 feet, which is down 47.58 feet.
The Medina River has a flow of 15.7 cfs in Bandera, standing 3.44 feet deep at the gage.
