Wildfires out of control
Fire fighters continue to battle blazes surrounding Bandera County. Currently, the Medina, Bandera, Castle Lake Ranch and Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Departments are either on scene or en route to a fire on FM 2828. Reports indicate it is a very fast-moving fire.
In Medina County in Mico, a fire that began yesterday has spread over more than 400 acres. The Medina County Office of Emergency Management has said that the County Roads 2651 and 2652 need to evacuate immediately.
In Tarpley, Lakeshore and Utopia Volunteer Fire Departments have been called to help fight a barn fire that just ignited.
A wildfire east of Kerrville, north of SH 27 between Comfort and Center Point has spread over more than 50 acres.
Bandera County does not currently have any evacuation orders.
