Notice of Employment - County Veterans Service Officer
Bandera County is accepting applications for a County Veterans Service Officer. Duties include (but not limited to) assisting county residents who served in the Armed Forces or Nurses Corps to prepare and submit claims for benefits to which they may be entitled under United States or State laws, provide information on public inquiries regarding benefits, and maintain files. Applicants must have strong communication skills both oral and written, familiarity with the armed forces, ability to work with the public in a positive manner, computer skills with software knowledge, and organizational skills.
Must qualify for position as per Government Code Section 434.033(b), be able to lift 50LBS, have a valid Texas Driver’s License, and a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Applications may be obtained at the Auditor/Human Resource Office located at 1207A Pecan St., Monday-Friday 8:30AM-3:30PM. Also available on line at www.banderacounty.org HR tab.
