LAKEHILLS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 150 Ave. J in Lakehills, offers a free community meal, Bread of Life, every Monday on school days, at 5 p.m.
In addition, the church offers a Food Pantry every other week, this month they are Fridays, May 13 and May 27, 10 a.m. to noon. Call 830-751-2404 for more information or follow on Facebook.

LAKEHILLS FARMERS MARKET will be open Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Located at 101 Center St., off FM 1283, they are seeking more vendors to support our community. For more information, call 830-205-3091.

LAKEHILLS COMMUNITY CENTER, 11225 PR 37, will host a Car Show in conjunction with the Lakehills United Methodist Church Fish Fry Fundraiser for Children on Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call the Center at 830-751-9904 or the Church at 830-751-2404.

PRIMARY RUN-OFF ELECTION EARLY VOTING is one week only, from Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20. The hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day, except for extended hours on Tuesday, May 17, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. While any eligible voter may vote in any location, if a voter already voted in the Primary, that voter must vote in the same party’s run-off election. Locations for early voting are: Ray Mauer Annex, 403 12th St., Bandera; Lakehills Area Library, 7200 FM 1283; and Medina Annex, 161 E. Parker St., Medina.

PRIMARY RUN-OFF ELECTION DAY is Tuesday, May 24, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Each voter must vote in their own precinct. Again, precinct voting locations have been combined: Precincts 101 and 102, vote at Pipe Creek VFD, 1331 FM 1283; Precincts 203 and 204, vote at Lakehills Area Library, 7200 FM 1283; Precincts 305 and 306, vote at Ray Mauer Annex, 403 12th St., Bandera; and Precincts 407, 408, 409, and 410, vote at Bandera ISD Transportation Bus Barn, 1576 Hwy. 173 S., Bandera.

AMERICAN LEGION POST 410, 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, is open to the public every day except Thursdays, from 3 p.m. They serve home cooked meals every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. For $8 a plate, you get an entree, sides and beverage. Desserts are available.

The Post is hosting a Classic Car Show on Friday, May 27, at 3 p.m. Contact the Post for more information, at 830-612-1034.
The Post is also looking for individuals or organizations who would like to be in their annual July 4th Parade, to be held on Monday, July 4. The parade starts at 11 a.m., followed by the chicken and sausage barbecue at noon, with live music entertainment at 1 p.m. To submit your application for the parade, call Ron Clarke at 830-612-1038 or email roninsatx@gmail.com.

PIPE CREEK DANCEHALL MARKET DAYS will host the next event Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p..m. Vendors who would like to participate should email pipecreekdancehall@gmail.com for an application. For more information, text 210-854-6577 and leave a message.

LAKE LEVEL
On May 11, Medina Lake is at 18.1 per cent capacity. The lake level is 1007.69 feet, which is down 56.51 feet.
The Medina River has a flow of 3.92 cfs in Bandera, standing 3.14 feet deep at the gage.
