The Lakehills Produce Market will be Saturday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Located at 101 Center St, next to True Value, customers may place orders online, by email, phone or shop in person.

Pipe Creek Cemetery Association holds annual meeting

The annual Pipe Creek Cemetery Association Meeting will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, in the Pipe Creek Community Center, located at 10162 Hwy. 16S. Although the business meeting will begin at 7 p.m., there will be a pot luck meal for members old and new, along with their families, at 6 p.m.
There will be an election during the meeting. Dues must also be paid and only members who have paid their dues may vote in the election.
Doug White is currently Trustee and he is running again unopposed.
Dues are $15 per year, per household.
Members should send in their dues and their votes to arrive by Friday, Sept. 9 to David Evans, 838 Redbud Lane, Pipe Creek, TX 78063.

Bandera Recycles met Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Bandera County Library. A powerpoint discussion was held on rural recycling programs. Questions and concerns specific to the Bandera County recycling initiative were addressed, including volunteer retention/staffing issues, community education and engagement, sorting and contamination.
Anyone interested in volunteering for Saturday intake and sorting may contact Bob Brischetto, at  so their information can be included on the Bandera Recycles volunteer contact list.
The next scheduled Bandera Recycles meeting will be in September, date and time TBA.

The Pipe Creek Dancehall Market Days will be held on Saturdays, Sept. 17, Nov. 19 and Dec. 10, always 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors may email [email protected] for an application.

The Lakehills Farmers Market Holiday Markets are set for Oct. 8, Nov. 12, and Dec. 10. Email [email protected] for more information.
The Lakehills Area Library, 7200 FM 1283, has a food pantry, with fruits and veggies, available during open hours. Stop by from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

The American Legion Post 410, 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, is open to the public every day except Thursdays, from 3 p.m. They serve home cooked meals every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. For $8 a plate, you get an entree, sides and beverage. Desserts are available.
