Bandera Middle School football breakdown

By Salvador Gallegos Jr.
BMS coaching staff

The Bandera Middle School football teams hosted Pearsall Thursday to open district play.
The seventh grade Bulldogs would find success on offense early with some big runs from Hayden Drefke. Micah Toomire made several big throws with one ending up in a touchdown to Carson Kothman.
The Bulldog defense would continue to fight and play hard throughout the entire game. Carter Hanks scored the final Bulldog touchdown of the game on a nice run, but the seventh grade Bulldogs would fall short to Pearsall, 32-14.
The eighth grade Bulldogs got off to a lightning fast start with a 60-yard reception from Dalton Parks to Breydan Gherman for a touchdown on the first play of the game. Gherman would continue to have a great game finishing the night off with four touchdowns. Parks also threw a touchdown to Jaymin Klein.
The Bulldog defense had a great game also, making several key stops. Will Vidmer would force a fumble recovered by Gherman to give the Bulldog offense another chance to score and Bandera would go on to defeat Pearsall, 38-6, to go to 1-0 in district play.
The Bulldogs will be preparing for their game in Devine next Thursday as they look to go to 2-0 in district.
