Trick-or-Treat at the Lakehills Area Library on Monday, Oct. 31, from 5:30-7 p.m. Candy donations and volunteers are needed.
The library will feature the special exhibition organized by Ukrainian San Antonio. These pieces tell the story of the Holodomor, a man-made famine genocide in Ukraine 90 years ago.
The library will also exhibit Geena Eaton’s knitting and paintings for the rest of this month. Visitors and patrons are invited to enjoy them.
The next book sale is Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library meeting room.
Early voting will continue through Friday, Nov. 4. Election Day is Nov. 8.
The Smartphone Class will be Monday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to noon. Learn about your smartphone and have your questions answered.
The library also has a food pantry, with fruits and veggies, available during open hours.
The Lakehills Area Library is located at 7200 FM 1283. It is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Post 410, 147 Legion Dr. in Lakehills, is open to the public every day except Thursdays, from 3 p.m. They serve home cooked meals every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. For $8 a plate, you get an entree, sides and beverage. Desserts are available.
