Bandera Bulldogs JV Baseball
The JV Bulldogs traveled to Fredericksburg on Monday for some Spring Break baseball. Though the team took a tough loss, they never gave up the fight and continued to battle, scoring all of their runs in the final fifth.
Braidyn Franklin started on the bump, pitching two innings before relief pitcher Braidyn Lynch took the mound. The Billies dominated with good hits, keeping outfielders Beto Rodrigues and Cash Raab busy in the outfield, and making 17 runs to Bandera’s zero by the bottom of the third.
Kenai Jerome broke the trend at the top of the fifth, scoring the team’s first run of the game. The momentum was carried by Hayden Winters, Cayden Patton, West Cloudt and Brady Trussell, who each ran across home plate, bringing the Bulldogs’ score up to five. The line-up started over with two outs and Jerome again at bat, who hit a single and had one RBI, bringing James Bower home. The next batter struck out, ending the inning and game with a final score of 17-6.
The JV baseball team’s next home game will be March 20, when they will host Canyon Lake.
