This month at the Medina Library
The library will be closed April 7 and 8 for Easter.
Early Childhood Learn, Grow, Eat & Go Program will launch a four-week series about plants and gardens beginning Monday, April 3, at 10:30 a.m. The program will be taught to 4 and 5 year olds. Weekly class topics include plant needs and plant parts, seeds and roots, stems and leaves, and flowers and fruits. Make reservations with the library.
The library is sponsoring an art contest. The theme is All Together Now, and the art will be used for the summer reading program. Artwork is due by April 6. Stop by for more information.

~ Plants Used by Texas Native American Tribes, a hands-on workshop, Thursday, April 13, at 11 a.m.
~ Star Link Info Session, by Austin Hardy, Monday, April 17, at 1 p.m.
~ Life Happens presents, Parallel Economy for Medina Open Discussion, on Monday, April 17, from 2-4 p.m.
~ Dinner Around the World, Medina Ladies Night, Tuesday, April 18, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
~ Little Ones Goat Storytime, Wednesday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m.
~ Medina ISD Art Exhibition, April 24-26.
~ Big Kids Storytime (ages 5-8), April 18 and 25, at 10:30 a.m.
~ Astronomy Club will meet Thursday, April 27, from 7-8 p.m.
Other regular weekly events include free Chair Yoga, every Thursday at 1:15 p.m.; Gentle Yoga on Tuesdays at 9 a.m.; and story time for the little ones on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

The library’s mission is to provide access to the world of ideas and promote life-long learning. It also functions as a community hub—a place for the increasingly diverse population of western Bandera County to come together to share ideas, information, knowledge and experience.
In addition to occasional special public programs the library itself sponsors relating to topics of local interest (past programs have ranged from archaeology to digital photography to rainwater harvesting), it also hosts a variety of meetings, events and activities sponsored by other community groups.
