Wharton's Dock Road Trash Pick Up event planned

Contributed

On Saturday, May 13, a group of volunteers will gather to pick up trash on Wharton’s Dock Road.
Pick up begins at 9 a.m., and will go on until 1 p.m. The route will go from the intersection of Wharton’s Dock Road and Rodeo Road, to the Wharton’s Dock Road and Castroville Road intersection/split. Volunteers may meet at the intersection of Rodeo Road and Wharton’s Dock Road; the cell phone tower at Wharton’s Dock Road; or the intersection/split at Wharton’s Dock Road and Castroville Road.
It is recommended that volunteers wear bright-colored clothing, a safety vest, closed-toe shoes, gloves, a hat and water. Bring a trash-picker if you have one. All other supplies will be provided.
The Don't Mess With Bandera organization is involved with this garbage pick up event. If you can't volunteer to pick up trash, pickups, trailers, and ATVs are needed to haul trash and distribute water to the volunteers. Any help will be appreciated.
RSVP by text to Dan Wethor at 830-688-1008.
