On Saturday, Sept. 2, the Bandera Round-Up parade will proceed down Main Street, at 10 a.m.
Due to the heat, the traditional cattle drive will not be part of this year’s annual parade, however everyone is invited to enjoy live music, storytelling, kids’ activities, shopping and shows on the historic courthouse lawn.
Before the sun goes down, head over to Mansfield Park for the Bandera Ranch Rodeo. Events including muggin’(steer roping), wild cow milking, mutton bustin’, and a performance by the True Women Drill Team.
On Sunday, Sept. 3, the Bandera Round-Up continues with arts and crafts, and live entertainment on the courthouse lawn. The weekend will wrap up at Mansfield Park with the Women’s Ranch Rodeo. Events include the pony express, cowhide race, muggin’, steer branding, wild cow milking, and the stampede.
Registration for mutton bustin’ begins at 6 p.m. The rodeos begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults; kids 7-12, veterans and active military with ID are $5; 6 years and under are free. Tickets are available at the gate.
