Bobcats win at home

By Lindsey Kunz
MISD Superintendent/Athletic Director

Bobcat Stadium in Medina was the place to be Friday night, Sept. 1, as the Bobcats faced the visiting Laredo St. Augustine Knights. With contributions from every single member of the team, Medina jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. With a halftime score of Medina 66, Laredo 19, the officials called the game by mercy rule, and the Bobcats earned their first win of the season.
“It’s great to get our first home win,” senior Will Derry said. “We need to keep working as a team and keep improving in the future.”
The Bobcats return to the field on Friday, Sept. 8, in Kerrville versus OLH, at 7 p.m.
In volleyball news, the Medina Lady Cats defeated the Lady Jackets from Sabinal in three straight sets last Tuesday night, to keep their winning streak alive.
The Lady Cats next home contest will be Friday, Sept. 8, versus LaPryor with a varsity start time at 4 p.m.
