Christian Job Corps graduates first Inmate Prepped for Life classes
On Nov. 1, the Men’s and Women’s classes received their program certificates of completion for completing five weeks of the Inmate Prepped For Life curriculum in the Bandera County Jail. This curriculum provides a faith-based program of instruction in life and behavioral management skills, to include anger management, money management, and learning how self-imposed roadblocks and generational programming have affected their current life choices.
Each certification earns the inmate 41 hours of instructional credit, and provides a definite sense of accomplishment as they learn a new self-identity in Christ.
New classes will begin in January 2024, and can serve eight men and eight women concurrently. This program has also served Kendall County Jail since January 2022.
