Free Thanksgiving meals planned throughout the Bandera County

No one needs to be alone on Thanksgiving. Several community meals have been planned throughout the county.
On Thursday, Nov. 28, free meals include:
~ The 13th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner, sponsored by the Hill Country Samaritans. A traditional meal of turkey and trimmings will be accompanied by live music and homemade desserts, at the Lakehills Community Center, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Lakehills Community Center is at 11225 PR 37, in Lakehills. Call 830-751-9904 or 956-521-7694 to sign up to volunteer, or for more information.
~ Monte Alteza will host a free Thanksgiving meal beginning at 1 p.m. The tapas and wine garden will remain open until 9 p.m., and serve food until it runs out. Monte Alteza is at 9742 Hwy. 16 S., in Pipe Creek. Call 210-889-1000 for more information.
~ Ridin’ the River Cowboy Fellowship will host a free Thanksgiving meal, starting at 1 p.m.

~ Join the Medina Community Thanksgiving, held at The Core, at 1 p.m. Bring a pot luck side to share. Turkey, pie, coffee, tea and soda will be provided. Please RSVP with your name, dish and how many in your party, by texting 713-392-3118.
~ ShotGun Sports Bar & Grill will host a free Thanksgiving meal, beginning at 2 p.m. The meal will be provided, feel free to bring a dessert or appetizer. ShotGun Sports Bar & Grill is at 707 Main Street, Bandera. Call 830-314-2222.
