8th Grade A Team
8th Grade A team traveled to Hondo this weekend to compete in their annual tournament. Our Bulldogs had to overcome a lot of adversity this weekend, and I am so proud that they were up for the challenge! Our first game was against the Hondo Owls, were we fell short and lost 31-16. Mia Ranly had many tough rebounds and put ups for the offensive side of the game. Addison Ashcraft was 100% from the free throw line going 4-4 on the line. Briley Clark and Pyper Barnard played four quarters of tough defense.

Stats for the game:
Rebounds:
Addison Ashcraft- 5
Mia Ranly-4
Kaylee Fried-3
Pyper Barnard-3
Alaina Gross- 3

Steals:
Briley Clark-5
Pyper Barnard-2
Alaina Gross- 2
Addison Ashcraft-1
Kaylee Fried- 1

Blocks:
Pyper Barnard- 4
Alaina Gross- 2
Kaylee Fried- 1

Points:
Mia Ranly- 4
Addison Ashcraft- 4
Kaylee Fried- 4
Pyper Barnard- 4
Alaina Gross- 2

Lady Bulldogs fell to Devine in a heartbreak loss 23-25. This was a strong defensive game and I am so proud of how hard our girls played. We had our highest rebounding game with 29, we are now understanding the importance of rebounds and no 2nd chance shots for the other team. We had a lot of ball movement which helped seeing the open girl and on fast breaks we are looking up to advance the ball quickly, which led to a 3 pointer from Pyper Barnard!

Stats for the game:
Rebounds:
Alaina Gross- 8
Kylie Hall-5
Pyper Barnard- 5
Mia Ranly- 4
Addison Ashcraft- 4
Kaylee Fried- 2
Leighann Spangler 1

Steals:
Pyper Barnard 2
Mia Ranly- 1
Kaylee Fried- 1
Emma Rynarzewski- 1

Blocks:
Mia Ranly 2

Points:
Pyper Barnard- 9
Alaina Gross- 8
Mia Ranly- 2
Addison Ashcraft-2
Kaylee Fried- 2

7th Grade A Team
Your 7th Grade A Team Lady Bulldogs traveled to the annual Hondo Basketball Tournament Saturday.
In a last minute nail biter, these hard working ladies fell to the Hondo Owls 15-16. Our focus was to make sure to rebound the ball and not allow the opponent a chance to score. Rehnahta Gomez and Sienna Collazo each racked up 8 rebounds, Gracen Spruell and Jazmine Rhodes with 6 rebounds. Brooke Montelongo, Gabrielle Colony, Blu Rollo and Ryley Boyd contributed with 4 each. Aaliyah Khan had 1 assist and 1 steal. Makensie Clay had 1 steal and 1 block and Maddie Arriola had 1 steal.
After a brief rest, we were back to battle for some hardware. We fell in a heartbreaking loss to Medina Valley but these ladies continued to play with heart and integrity.
Rehnahta Gomez with 2 rebounds and 2 points, Brooke Montelongo with 2 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 blocks. Sienna Collazo with 1 steal and 1 block and Gracen Spruell with 2 rebounds and 1 steal.
