Numerous roads and low water crossings were closed today during heavy rains that led to flash flooding throughout Bandera County. Some areas reported up to six inches of water this morning, with more possibilities the rest of this week.
Pioneer RV guests were evacuated to Bandera Middle and High Schools, and kids at the Boys and Girls Club Bandera campus were relocated to the middle school gym.
Roads closed include:

16 North - Peaceful Valley Road
16 South - Privilege Creek Road
16 South - Bear Creek
16 South - Old School Road
16 South - Bump Gate - high water patches - use caution or use alternate route
16 South - Pipe Creek Drive - East and West - high water on back side

As of 1:41 p.m., the National Weather Service cancelled the flood watch, however several inches of water received north of Bandera County are flowing downstream, which could cause more swelling in local creeks and rivers. Motorists are urged to not attempt crossing any flooded areas or barricaded roads and bridges.
