Upcoming lane closures in Bandera County

Texas Department of Transportation Public Information Officer Tanya Brown has announced upcoming traffic delays and lane closures. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 13-14, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., a seal coat operation on Hwy. 173 (Bandera) from the Bandera/Kerr County Line to FM 3240 will create one-way traffic control with delays. A pilot car will be in use. Motorists will need to watch for flag personnel directing traffic.
Beginning Aug. 15, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., a seal coat operation on RM 2828 (Bandera) from Hwy. 16 to Hwy. 173 will create one-way traffic control with delays. A pilot car will be in use. Motorists will need to watch for flag personnel directing traffic.
Construction also continues on Hwy. 16. The overall project includes profiling edgeline and centerline markings on Hwy. 16 from Robindale West Road to FM 1283; from Old San Antonio Hwy. to Robindale East, the road will be expanded from two to four lanes with a center turn lane, curbs, sidewalks and drainage improvements.
The estimated completion date for the $12.2-plus million project is February 2025, according to TxDOT.
