The annual salary increases for elected officals range from $855 to $5,143, and a 3 percent COLA was applied across the board.
A budget workshop is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at the county courthouse. A public hearing is set for Thursday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. The new budget, and salaries if approved, will take effect Oct. 1.

City Administrator Stan Farmer said the city’s revenue has increased from last year due to higher property appraisals and new construction. Currently, Farmer said property tax collections are at 98 to 99 percent, and 98 properties are under protest with the Central Appraisal District.
