The Bandera Prophet

Against the backdrop of a starry sky amidst exotic mounts from Africa, Asia, Australia and North America, guests of the Bandera Natural History and Art Museum’s Date Night were transported to a magical, musical romantic evening.
More than 100 people last Saturday enjoyed an award-winning selection of bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, Cuban sandwiches, chicken pineapple kabobs, fresh fruit and desserts, prepared and served by the Bandera High School Culinary Arts students. For the wine connoisseurs, tastings were provided by Lost Draw Cellars and Bandera Wine & Spirits.
The fundraiser was sponsored by Don Chepe’s Mexican Restaurant, Bandera Electric Cooperative, Diamond A Financial Services, Musquiz Construction, and Juan and Mary Infante.
The Bandera Natural History and Art Museum features an extensive array of international mounts and artifacts, and houses one of the country's largest cohesive collections of 16th- to 19th-century colonial art. Located at 267 Old San Antonio Hwy., the museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
