Elizabeth Wood, 65, of Pipe Creek, passed away peacefully on Sept. 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Heidelberg, Germany, Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her kindness, strength and fierce loyalty to those she loved will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Elizabeth is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Michael Wood; her daughter Gina Wood; and her cherished grandchildren Angela Kosmatka and her husband Logan, Trever Cowen, James Cowen and Elizabeth McKinney. She also leaves behind her sister Doris Gillis; her brother John Elliott; and her unborn great-grandchild Hudson Kosmatka. Elizabeth’s extended family includes many nieces, nephews and dear friends, all of whom will hold her memory close.
She was a woman of deep faith, with a strong love for Jesus and her family. Elizabeth’s generosity and compassion were felt by everyone she encountered. Her love was unconditional, and she always made sure those around her knew they were cherished.
Elizabeth earned her Associate’s degree in Radiology from Lamar University, and had a passion for helping others, both in her professional and personal life.
She is preceded in death by her parents Christa and Glenn Elliott; her brother Peter Bornkessel; her niece Aleisha Elliott; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Elizabeth’s legacy of love and faith will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength and the deep love she had for her family and the Lord.
