Cross Country Run Season Best Times

The Medina Cross Country runners competed in the Tivy Antler River Run Invitational meet at Flat Rock Park, in Kerrville, on Saturday, Sept. 28.  
“Through very competitive competition they performed well, and had some personal records set,” Head Coach Chad Coffey said.
High school runner Ahnika Grassie ran a seasonal best time of 14:47, while junior high runners Slayton Hall and Rodie Stevens also set their personal records.
High school runners are now preparing for the district meet in Rocksprings on Monday, Oct. 7.
In other Medina sports news, the Varsity Lady Cats defeated Great Hearts Northern Oaks on Tuesday, Sept. 24, in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-8.
Leading the offensive attack were Brooke Mancha and Crista Zirkel, with 10 and 8 kills, respectively. Hallie Kunz added in 22 assists, while Audrey Gatlin compiled 18 digs. Sienna Carter led in aces with 2.
