Bandera BMS XC runners set PRs in Dilley

By Jess Edwards
BMS Cross Country Coach

The Bandera Middle School cross country team competed at the Dilley meet on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Dilley's course was flat; perfect for setting PRs, and that's exactly what 18 of Bandera's 23 runners did, including Olivia Rynarzewski (14:18:00), Aspen Collazo (16:24:00), Heidy Chenn-Amman (17:24:00), Jing Liu (17:46:00), Adeline Breedlove (18:58:00), June Flowers (20:10:00), Ryitt Medellin (13:09:00), Cash Wright (15:33:00), Cassie Williams (14:04:00), Jayla Hinojo (15:10:00), Abigail Gilbert (15:25:00), Maricel Casas (15:37:00), Sophia Sophia (16:08:00), Alivia Pack (16:12:00), Harley Randall (17:28:00), Aubrey Freeman (17:43:00), Sienna Collazo (17:47:00), and Alice Nelson (18:25:00).
Other runners were Samuel Postert (14:13:00), Rudy Esparsa (14:18:00),  Vanessa Gonzalez (17:53:00), Haisley Wright (18:33:00), and Mayele Flores (20:44:00).
The short-handed 7th grade girls placed 4th as a team, and the 8th grade girls placed first over-all. All the runners seemed primed to deliver their best performances at the district meet this coming Saturday, at Alkek Elementary.
