Pipe Creek native first in family to serve in U.S. Air Force
José A. Gonzalez, of Pipe Creek, is the first in his family to serve in the military. He is the son of Jose Gonzalez Meza, of Pipe Creek, and the late Maria Guadalupe Flores.
José graduated from Bandera High School in 2015. He completed Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base on June 20, and will finish Heavy Integrated Avionics training on Oct. 11, at Sheppard Air Force Base. Afterwards, José will undergo on-the-job training as an Air Force Avionics Technician, at Ellsworth Air Force Base, in South Dakota.
