On Saturday, the Bandera High School and Bandera Middle School speech and debate teams competed at the Boerne Champion TFA tournament.
Bandera competed very well against strong competition. Additionally, the middle school team competed for the very first time and had a great day. Congrats to: Cullen Maloney, Michael Ellingson and Ember Parker for their first appearances at a high school meet.
In Student Congress, against 92 total entries, senior Micah McCreary was a semi finalist and sophomore Amelie Smoor was a finalist.
In Domestic Extemp, against 52 entries, senior Braden Valle was a semi finalist.
In Novice Extemp, against 35 entries, freshman Luke Parks and sophomore Aiden Garcia were semi finalists.
Against 24 other debaters, sophomore Aiden Garcia also earned third place in novice LD debate in his first career rounds.
Against 40 entries in Varsity Prose, sophomore Claudia Alameda and junior Sydney McDaniel competed well with Sydney earning 5th place at her second career tournament.
These bulldogs are on the road again next weekend at the Hays TFA tournament. Way to go!
