Jaylyn Lamb and Kirstin Pierce crowned Miss Bandera County and Miss Teen Bandera County

Jaylyn Lamb and Kirstin Pierce were crowned Miss Bandera County and Miss Teen Bandera County at the first annual Bandera County Pageant.
Hosted by the Bandera County Chamber of Commerce, 12 young women took their places on the Bandera Middle School stage last Saturday.
Queen contestants included Lamb, Sienna Carter and Tatum Hubble; teen contestants included Pierce, Charley Joy, Ellie Wilkes, Gabriela Cabrera, Harper Hartsfield, Haylee Tomassi, Jada Raap, Rylee Raap and Trinity Schneibs.
The mission of the pageant is to preserve Bandera County’s history of Cowbelles and Stampede Queens advocating for local ranches and the importance of farming, agriculture and keeping the Cowboy Capital of the World spirit alive.
Lamb, who entered in age division 16-17, is a senior at Bandera High School. She is a member of the Bandera BBQ Team, International Club, NHS, and Student Council, and she is an active FFA and 4-H member where she holds numerous officer positions at the county, district, area and state levels. She was awarded a $1,500 scholarship.
Pierce, who entered in age division 13-15, participates in cheer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, track and softball, with plans to explore golf next. She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, serves on the Student Council, and represents her peers as the Freshman Class Representative.
