There is no November Book Sale. The December Book Sale will be Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., in the library meeting room. On Election Day each voter must vote in their own precinct. Our precinct is 203 and 203-B. That information is on your Voter Registration Card.
Halloween was successful, thanks to many volunteers and for the candy donations. Many thanks to all who donated, and to the Bandera Electric Co-Op for their generosity.
The walking track is finished and open to the public. Many thanks to the Kronkosky Foundation for their generous grant.
The Pre-School Story Time is every Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) Book Club, is Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1 to 2 p.m. Three books recommended in October were “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman; “Crazy Americans” by Arthur Talmage Abernethy; and “The Secret Life of Sunflowers” by Marta Molnar. All are welcome to share what we are reading, make recommendations, and discuss all things bookish.
The Evening Book Club is Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 5:30 p.m. They will discuss “Mother Daughter Murder Night” by Nina Simon.
The new Christian Classic Literary Book Club meets on first and third Fridays every month, Nov. 1 and Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. For more information, call Linda Williams at 830-688-0560.
The board meeting is Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
The Benefits Enrollment Center, brought by Silver Sage, will be available Wednesday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to provide application assistance for those over 65 or disabled.
The annual Community Garage Sale, hosted by the library, will be on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendor space starts at $20, with indoor and outdoor spaces available. Rent your spot now.
The Garden Club will have a table in the Community Garage Sale, in lieu of their monthly meeting.
AACOG Medicare Early Enrollment help will be available Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Food Bank application assistance will be offered on Friday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The library will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 through Saturday, Nov. 30 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The library also hosts an Art in the Library Program and they seek artists of all genres to display their works. Each artist will exhibit for one month. If interested in displaying your art, contact Deb Hicks at [email protected].
The library hosts other events and offers many services, such as faxing, copying, laminating, notary, scanning, free Wifi, DVDs, and interlibrary loans. They also offer ebooks, audio books, and large print books. They offer Genealogy, with access to Ancestry.com.
