The countywide burn ban has been lifted, effective immediately.
Bandera County commissioners implemented the burn ban Oct. 24, a short-lived restriction thanks to several days of rain.
As of today, the Keetch Byram Drought Index (KDBI) registers Bandera County with a 400-500 value, below the fire hazard trigger of 575, and more than 100 points less than it was two weeks ago. The Texas A&M University Fire Danger Map rates Bandera County in the low to moderate range.
