Lakehills garage sale a popular event

By Vicki L. George
The Bandera Prophet

Approximately 25 vendors convened at the Lakehills Area Library on Nov. 16 to sell their wares. It was the library’s annual Community Garage Sale, and they drew a large crowd.
One vendor who offered unique goods was our own John Tucker, who brought many items hand carved in wood. His creations would make very special Christmas gifts. He can be reached at 830-535-6578 or [email protected].
Another was a representative of 1 Hope for Kids, Inc., Rynda De La Garza. The organization is a Foster Care and Adoption Agency serving Bexar and surrounding counties, whose motto is “Until every child has a home.” One can learn more about them at  www.1HOPEforKids.org.
Then some simply wanted to find good homes for their many years of accumulation, such as Brenda Barron, who hales from Pipe Creek.
The library’s website is lakehillslibrary.org or follow them on Facebook.
The Lakehills Area Library is located at 7200 FM 1283 and the phone is 830-510-2777.
Their hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
